SoundLatencyTest.com does not sell personal data. It does not operate advertising networks. It does not use behavioural tracking cookies. The site’s primary tool — the Sound Latency Test — processes microphone audio entirely within your browser and transmits nothing to any server. This policy documents that commitment in full.

Microphone and Audio Data
The Sound Latency Test captures live microphone audio as part of its round-trip latency measurement process. The following statements apply without exception:
- Microphone audio is captured locally within your browser using the Web Audio API
- Audio is processed in an in-memory buffer for the duration of the measurement only
- Audio is never recorded to any file or storage medium
- Audio is never transmitted to SoundLatencyTest.com’s server or any third-party server
- Audio is never shared with analytics services, advertising networks, or any other external party
- Audio is never stored in cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any other persistent browser storage
- The microphone stream is closed and all in-memory audio data is released when the test completes or when the browser tab is closed
Your microphone audio is not personal data held by this site. It never reaches this site’s server. It cannot be retrieved, reviewed, or deleted by Jackson Cooper because it is never collected in the first place.

Automatically Collected Information
When you visit any page on SoundLatencyTest.com, the web server automatically logs standard HTTP request data. This may include:
- Your IP address (used for server-side rate limiting and security; not used for tracking)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- The page URL requested
- The HTTP referrer (the page you came from, if any)
- The date and time of the request
This data is retained in server logs for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes and is then deleted. It is not combined with any other data to identify you individually. It is not shared with third parties except where required by law.
Analytics
SoundLatencyTest.com may use basic anonymous analytics to understand aggregate site usage — page views, browser distribution, approximate geographic region. Any analytics tool used on this site collects only anonymised, aggregate data. It does not track individual users across sessions, does not use behavioural profiling, and does not have access to the Web Audio API pipeline or microphone audio in any form.
No advertising analytics, no user-level profiling, and no cross-site tracking are in use on this site.
Note for future update: When Google Analytics or Google AdSense is added to this site, update this section to add the Google Analytics cookie table (_ga, _gid, _gat with lifespans) and the Google AdSense / DoubleClick cookie disclosure section, along with all four advertising opt-out links.
Advertising
SoundLatencyTest.com does not currently run advertising of any kind. There are no advertising cookies on this site. There are no DoubleClick cookies. There are no third-party advertising scripts loaded on any page of this site.
If advertising services are added to this site in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those services go live, and a dedicated advertising section — including full disclosure of any advertising cookies, opt-out mechanisms, and GDPR/CCPA implications — will be added.
